Rendering stays on your device.
Global DOM Optimizer processes page structure for rendering optimization inside your browser. The extension has no telemetry or analytics endpoint and does not upload page content to ArkFlame Studios.
1. Purpose and local processing
Global DOM Optimizer improves rendering efficiency on eligible webpages. Its content script inspects document structure, text lengths, element dimensions, scroll containers, and viewport or scroll positions to find elements that can safely use native CSS offscreen rendering containment. It restores rendering as content approaches the visible region.
This processing occurs inside the browser. The extension does not upload or copy page text, images, personal communications, or other webpage contents to ArkFlame Studios.
2. Information stored locally
The extension uses chrome.storage.local for its global enabled/disabled preference and website hostnames explicitly excluded by the user. These settings remain on the device and are not synchronized by the extension.
Its popup displays current-tab diagnostics, including managed or hidden block counts, scroll-region information and scan timings. These values are exchanged through browser-internal messaging, not uploaded to the publisher or stored as a browsing-history log.
4. Permissions and website access
The extension runs local content scripts on HTTP and HTTPS pages to inspect eligible elements and apply rendering styles. This cross-site access is necessary because its primary function is automatic optimization across webpages.
- storage: saves the global switch and user-selected website exclusions locally.
- activeTab: supports the user-opened popup's access to the current site's hostname and local diagnostics.
- HTTP/HTTPS content scripts: identify eligible offscreen DOM sections and adjust their rendering containment.
The extension does not request cookies, browser history, network interception, or downloads permissions. Chrome blocks content scripts on certain internal or restricted pages.
5. Your controls
You can turn optimization off globally or for the current website using the extension popup. Either option reverses the styles managed by the extension. Some elements and entire websites may be left unchanged where safe containment is not possible.
6. Limited Use and security
Information accessed by Global DOM Optimizer is used solely for its stated offscreen-rendering feature and related on-device diagnostics. Use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. The extension does not execute remotely hosted scripts.
7. External publisher link
The popup includes an optional link to ArkFlame Studios. Opening it navigates to the publisher's website; the extension does not transmit page content or diagnostic data as part of that navigation. Website access is separate from the extension's local processing.
8. Updates and contact
Material changes to the extension's data practices will be reflected in this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures before they are published. For questions, contact ArkFlame Studios through arkflame.com.
This policy describes Global DOM Optimizer version 0.0.6. Other ArkFlame Studios services may operate under separate notices.
